Has the sparkle worn off? Are you still wearing your bling? I am starting to feel naked without it.
Cindy's husband noticed her ring during Week 3! It should be fun sharing all of our stories.

I also am feeling naked without my ring. Rosemary and I had ours on
at Garden Club, I got a couple of
comments. Everyone thought it was
great. Poor Rose, next to mine hers looks completely normal.
The check out lady at Penney's asked me if it was one from the store...like she thought I was shoplifting it!
But she seemed to like it.
Thursday at an Estate Sale, Bev, Judy and Chris has their rings on. Someone, who shall remain nameless,
had to go out to their car and get theirs. At Rose's today someone who's first name ends in "er" was
ringless. I'm thinking of getting a new bling for the next month.
The story of our rings is getting around. People who see me a couple times a week are checking to see if I have it on. I'm afraid to leave home without it!
"THE STORY OF THE RINGS IS GETTING AROUND."
I have told the story many times now, usually starting with the words from Bev's blog post, " There were eleven rings and ten women..." I bet I have told the story (explained the ring) 30 times. Others have tried it on, laughed, and expressed how neat it must be to have a group of women who are game to try something just outside of normal. Do I LOVE my ring? No. Do I LOVE being a part of such a book club? You bet.
Off topic:
Just learned that the Milford Cross Country team that my daugher-in-law coaches won the state championship. We are so happy for Elizabeth and the other coach to have such a nice pay off for all of their hard work with the team.
(Elizabeth is Ann Minock's daughter and my son Vaughn's wife.)
Go Milford.
We went to a Halloween party last Saturday. I had a very clever costume on, but what do you suppose I got comments on? Yep, da bling. Also the green rubber frog ring on the left hand.
Instead of comments I seem to get more personal stories about rings than at first. I hardly ever tell "the story" because most people want to tell me theirs.
I went to my nephews wedding this weekend in KY. Of course everybody loved it. The bigger the better in the south!
From Jan Barley:
I really am sad about not being able to be @ bookclub tomorrow. I had no trouble getting on the blog in Oct. I did 3-4 entries, but my name was not there as having contributed. I've been having so much fun. On two sundays, I was a communion asst. & after the service I found myself in the midst of teen girls who "just had to know where I got the cool ring." Apparently the are popular with many girls @ Clarkston, Waterford, OLOL high schools. They had to try it on.
Another day I was @ Kohl's using my senior discount, & a woman about my age or maybe a bit older stopped me , wanting help to find socks. She was from Europe & was having trouble figuring out sizes. Me, being the world traveler(ha!) that I am asked her european shoe size. It was the same as mine. Ah ha, we are making progress, even with the language barrier. I showed her the socks for her shoe size. Then she noticed my bling. What a blast we then had finding her some bling!
I tried to get on the blog yesterday & could not get my * & # ! * + computer to cooperate. It took me down the merry path to set up my own blog. I did get to the blog you set up, Chris, but it would not recognize my password. I went through the convoluted process of changing my password, then I was back to setting up a blog. !! What a merry time I had. So this is what I wanted to enter: My grandaughters (sic) want blings of their own. I went to a couple of kid stores, but no luck. And my bling makes a nice bracelet for the 3y.o., & a cute big toe ring for the 10y.o. The only problem was how to wear shoes, since sandal season is over.
I went to lunch with my swim class yesterday, & had a great time talking about our wonderful book club. Everyone had to try it on, of course. Now the sad news. My bling has lost one sparkly, & a couple of others are loose. I have only worn it to church, lunch, shopping, etc, never in water. Otherwise, I keep it in my velvet lined jewelry box. Such a wonderful bling deserves the best, after all. So I was able to read all of your blogs, along with the ones I'd entered in Oct. But my name was not listed as a member, Boo HOO.
Have fun tomorrow. See you in Dec. By the way the 3rd. wed. does not work for me , any possibility of talking about a different day at our Dec. party?
Janet
