Getting our rings

On Wednesday we will receive our rings!  I am excited to see the amount of BLING that will adorne my finger for the next month.  Already, I am thinking that I need a manicure.  Other thoughts can be recorded here over the next month.
So, are you excited?

Wow, you are fast at posting! I will have to become accustomed to my diamonds, they almost cut the glass in my door as it scratched across it. The kitchen cupboards may have a little mar too...

Still working on how to do this. It
appears that you need to post on the
which ever blog you want to comment
on.

I may have this blog thing figured out. Here goes... My ring may not have enough bling. My husband didn't even notice when I flashed it around after book club. Although later he asked how the ring thing went at book club! Then I flashed the ring in his face. He said it is not obnoxious enough!!

How have other husbands reacted? Wondering how Rose will handle the business meetings with her bling. On Wednesday, I will start a new thread and call it something clever like "week two". Until then, keep the comments coming to either of these threads. Glad you are on board, Pam!

BLING

First day - two instructors at PT commented in a fun girlish way.

Friday - cashier looked at the ring then me then without any expression on her face took my money. Dollar store, they must see everything.

Saturday - tailgate party. Too cold to go without gloves. Missed a good chance for comments. I did have it in my pocket.

Sunday (16th) Went out for dinner with too old friends.  Their reaction was "is that the Hope Diamond?  Giggle, giggle. I did not feel the need to explain the ring, I only said "one could only hope."

Monday (17th). Fun day. The Instructors at PT asked about all the comments I have received on the ring. They are really in to it.
I went with Tom for a Flu shot at Oakland County. The nurse next to the one Tom was seeing commented  on the ring. Wanted to know how I had the strength to hold it up. I started to tell her the story about 11 of us wearing the rings and before I could get into the whole story she asked excitedly if I had read The Necklace. Oh what fun. We had everyone in the room talking about the book.  The nurse had gone to a book signing in Palm Springs and 7 of the owners were there with the necklace. She even touched it. She said it looked much like a tennis bracelet. Tom took a picture of the nurse and me with the ring front center.  Made my day, her day and everyone in the room buzzing.

Observation :  Wearing the bling ring is all about attitude!  It is like wearing hats. If you think the hat looks good on you, it does because of he way you carry yourself.

The bling can be a fun thing in public or somewhat embarrassing. All in how you present yourself. Did you giggle and flaunt or spend time explaining?

Went to dinner with PMD and noticed that she had trouble lifting her fork. Then I realized she had a gigantic ring that was super BLINGGY. Glad to see her getting on board with the program.
