Week Three - BLING IT ON!

Linda says to "Bling it on!"  I like all  of the subtle Bling Ring play on words.  We sound like a group of notorious jewel thieves, The Bling Ring.  Those who have injured themselves because of wearing their ring have felt the bling ring sting.  Those who have scraped something while wearing the ring have experienced the bling ring ding

Have fun in week three.
Sincerely, The King Road Bling Ring Ding-a-ling

Craft and a snack this week:  Rice Krispie pumpkins.  Be sure to remove your Bling, Ring and butter your hands.  Place a piece of candy in the center of each orange ball.  Add leaves and stems.  A real mess, but fun.  Jake's has its own personality.

Went to bridge club yesterday, they loved the bling thing. They were really into the story and the book. My name for the day was "Mrs Got Rocks". My bridge club have been together since 1972 but we have not played bridge in years. We are down to eating and drinking. Just what I do best.

At Rose's sweatshop today, some girls were very, very good and some girls were very, very bad.
Four with BLING and three without BLING.

At Costco tonight the checkout girl loved my ring. Was sorry her
friend wasn't there as she wears
big bling all the time.

Also, one of the demo ladies asked about my "yo-yo" pin. Wanted to
know if Carolyn sold them. It was
a good night!

Bling Is The Thing!

Had to take my parents to the airport last weekend and was allowed to go through security with them to their gate. Almost forgot to take off the ring as I was ready to enter THE BOOTH. Oh my, I would haved set off all the security alarms with all that metal on my finger! Also, realized that I have a necklace that matches my ring! Does that call for a new outfit to show them both off?

Bold and Beautiful! That is the style that we are embracing. Great tag line for the Bling Ring. Thanks, Cindy.

For some reason, the Bling on my finger started a conversation with my Aunt Peg (92 yrs. old) and my mother (93 yrs. old) about cigar rings. As children, they each took the paper rings from their fathers' cigars and wore them. The better cigars were printed with metallic gold paint. They thought they were hot stuff. Guess the excessive bling I was wearing sparked that memory for them. They had a good laugh. A good laugh is a really good thing at the retirement home. Glad I had it on while there.

Had a quiet weekend with the ring. Went out, but no reaction. However, Halloween on King Road with my ring and witch's hat - not
that was a big success. I think I
need a bigger ring!

Judy needs a bigger ring. Hmmmm. How quickly we become acclimated to wearing something that seemed so huge a few weeks ago. Guess that is how the Ubangi women become accustomed to wearing rings around their necks.
No, Judy. Your ring is of sufficient size!

My husband finally noticed my ring!We were out to breakfast with my parents and my mom said how beautiful if was and Greg said I noticed it too. I said "noticed" it? you just noticed this big bling?? But do you like it? Yes I think I do he said. So I guess he likes it. It only took him 3 weeks and someone else mentioning it. MEN!!
