Bev's experience was really interesting! I think that I will start explaining with the "11 rings and 10 women" line. That seemed to open dialogue! Fun.
However, if there has been no great Bling Ring happening, you may want to comment this week on:
- what your relatives have said
- how you remember to put your ring on when you leave home
- letting someone try on your Bling

Loaner Bling
Can you see me in this picture?
I am reflected in the ring that I took for a friend (Ann Minock) to wear when she was the fourth with three of the Bling Ring. She seemed pleased and wore the ring the whole time!
Spare Bling. What a concept! Your reflection in the Bling - stuff for deep thoughts. |
Having fun yet?
Guess this bling that Bev wears is none too subtle!

Ann Arbor book club was anxious to see and hear about the rings. However, they are way too conservative to try such a thing!
They don't know how much fun they are missing.
The male teller at the bank commented on my ring. Then he said that I would be safe from any mugger if I wanted to use it as a weapon.
Also, knitting group liked the bling. They passed it around and all tried it on. There were big smiles and a few lewd moves. It brought out the naughty in a couple of them!
Saturday the 22nd. Bev and I were
at a dinner party for ten and our
"bling" was the thing. They all
loved the story and there was a little envy evidenced too.
So, did you let them wear it for a while?
We do have physical evidence of belonging to a group and that may be a source of envy.
I was at a Tournament this weekend doing a "Health and Wellness" talk. Several women commented on my "bling". Yeah Im seeing the envy too! What a great story. People want to be us. On the home front-hubby still hasent noticed!! I thing im gonna have to bop him in the nose with it!
We should have a husband report from everyone. Pam has a good story there, too. And I am curious as can be how Carl liked Rose wearing her bling next to her real jewels!
Any good husband reactions?
Tueaday the 25th! Spent the whole in a continuing ed class with my ring on. Not a comment or a look.
Stopped at Costco on the way home and BUSTED - Jan P and I were both
there with NO RINGS. Both had the
same lame excuse "it was in the car". I actually felt naked without it. Wearing it to the Township budget meeting tonight. I pomise not to "leave home without it" again.
Jan Parrot writes: So I was bad, did not look for the book until today... not in Meijers, Target or Costco. Anyone done with it? My neighbor is my next resource. I should have ordered it on line...
My husband has not noticed my ring, or chooses not to. I do take ring breaks, I have to confess, it is heavy on my hand. I have had no comments, just looks.. I hope a black ring has not brought bad luck, I have been to 2 funerals since wearing it. It does go with black.
Linda writes: The ring thing has been interesting. I am definitely out of my comfort range...... but that's good right?
My husband said "what is THAT" ? :o) He thought I looked like a New Yorker. My friend Janet said she loved my bling and her husband asked me what bubble gum machine did I get my ring from? I went on to explain the book group experiment.
I keep my ring on the same stand as my purse but I have forgotten it at times. I found a way of wearing it without it falling off my finger. If I layer it over my existing ring it stays on. I am trying to work through the calluses that have formed on my middle finger.
I have been giving myself more manicures to justify my finger being worthy of such bling. Lots of envious looks have come my way with no comments attached. I know they were green with envy.
Another week approaching........ who knows what excitement and surprises are in store.
"Bling it on "
